Mixed Media Technique
This mixed media painting is made from cassette tapes, on which multiple layers of acrylic have been applied using spray paint, brush and markers.
Background
The original color of the black cassette tapes is no longer visible, because they have been completely atomized with spray paint in the complementary colors, red, blue and yellow. That distinguishes this artwork from the others in the collection. In the background, part of an artwork by Herman Brood is painted in an abstract manner. The texture and design of the tapes are still clearly visible, which gives a beautiful effect to the painting.
