How are the paintings packed?

Step 1: The painting goes between four layers of acid free archival paper, so that the paint is protected and does not suffer damage.

  • 2 layers on the front
  • 2 layers on the back

Step 2: The painting is sandwiched between two cardboard sheets.

Step 3: Every corner of the painting gets a protector, so that the corners / frame cannot be damaged.

Step 4: The painting get a layer with bubble wrap (small), so that bumps during transport are no problem.

Step 5: The painting goes in waterproof foil or bag.

Step 6: The painting goes again in two layers with bubble wrap (big). This bubble wrap has extra large bubbles, so that it is completely shock-free. 

Step 7: The artwork goes in a sturdy cardboard box (with filling materials).


The artwork is ready for transport.

Step 2: The painting get rolled around a firm tube. In doesn't go inside the tube to avoid cracks in the paint. Rolling them up too tight in a tube is bad for the paint.

Step 5: The artwork goes in a sturdy cardboard box with filling materials.
